Huntley

After Grid, I went into legacy industries and built Huntley, an AI platform that automates policy review and claims for insurance brokers.

Insurance in Chile moved more than US$17 billion in premiums in 2025, and much of it is sold through brokers. Most of them still work out of PDFs, email threads and spreadsheets. Every question from a client means someone opening a long policy and searching for the answer by hand.

Huntley reads every policy a broker manages and answers questions about coverage in seconds. It also keeps every claim moving: what documents are missing, who is waiting on whom, and how much money is at stake.

We had a lot of early adopters. One of them managed a portfolio of more than US$20 million in policies.

It’s where I learned zero to one: product, first pilots, sales, customer discovery. Selling software to an industry that has worked the same way for decades teaches you fast what people actually pay for.
